From September 25th to 30th this year, Britain's most prestigious international short film festival – the Encounters Film Festival - will be held in the city of Bristol. Georgia will be widely represented at the Encounters Film Festival.
The retrospective screening of Georgian films is dedicated to the 30th anniversary of the twinning of Bristol and Tbilisi. The event is being jointly organized by the Georgian National Film Centre, Tbilisi City Hall and the Encounters Film Festival.
Whithin the frames of the Film Festival Georgia will present the following programme:
- Georgian New Talent
- Georgian Animation
- Georgian Film School
- Georgian Past Masters
In addition, it should be mentioned that "Prisoner of Society” – a documentary directed by Rati Tsiteladze – a young Georgian filmmaker will be screened as part of the programme "SHORT FILM 1: CAN’T BREAK ME” of the Encounters Film Festival, alongside with the large-scale retrospective screening.
