Georgian Filmmakers have gathered two Prizes at the Golden Apricot Yerevan International Film Festival - 15 07 2018

The closing ceremony of the Yerevan International Film Festival GOLDEN APRICOT was held on July 15.

At the award ceremony of the Film Festival it was revealed that Georgian filmmakers had collected two prizes.

The film "Dede” directed by Mariam Khachvani became a winner of a FIPRESCI JURY PRIZE; the documentary "Transparent World” directed by Vakhtang Kuntsev-Gabashvili won a SPECIAL JURY MENTION.

The famous American filmmaker and screenwriter Darren Aronofsky, after his visit to Georgia, went to attend the Film Festival, where he received Parajanov’s Thaler, an honorary award for his outstanding contribution to the world cinema.

„Susa” - a film directed by Ms. Rusudan Pirveli was screened at the Film Festival. Georgian filmmakers – Sopio Chincharauli, Konstantine Kalandadze, Besik SOlomonashvili, Ketevan Nozadze and Rusudan Pirveli presented their projects at the C2C Market.

Yerevan has annually hosted the Golden Apricot International Film Festival since 2004.
