WHOSE PROJECT WILL BE PRESENTED AT THE ANNECY INTERNATIONAL FILM FESTIVAL? – FRENCH PRODUCER OLIVIER CATHERIN ARRIVES IN GEORGIA TO ANNOUNCE THE WINNER - 12 04 2017

French animation film producer - Olivier Catherin arrived in Georgia several days ago.

With the support from the French Institute he leads workshops at the Georgian National Film Center.

The workshops are attended by the authors of the five projects, which became winners of the contest jointly organized by the Georgian National Film Center, Annecy and "Nikozi” Film Festivals.

On Friday, April 14th, participants of the workshops will present their projects to Olivier Catherin at the Georgian National Film Center.

The author of the winner project will have the chance to present it at the Annecy International Film Festival to be held in France in the summer.

It is the third time this year the Georgian National Film Center, Animation Film Festival "Nikozi” and the Annecy International Animation Film Festival jointly has announced a contest on short animation film project development.

The first year Anna Chubitidze became the winner of the contest, and drew the attention of well-known French animation studio "Folimage” and that was how the first Georgian-French coproduction "Pocket Man” came into existence.

Last year Tato Kotetishvili and Sandro Katamashvili became the winners of the contest and are currently successfully conducting negotiations French producers.

After announcing this year’s winner, Olivier Catherin will work with the author of the winning project to prepare it for being presented at Annecy International Animation Film Festival.
