The world premiere of an animated film "Gino” made by Dato Kiknavelidze will be held at the Annecy International Animated Film Festival. This is the first time a Georgian film has participated in competition programme of animated films for children at the Annecy International Animated Film Festival.
"Gino” is the first Georgian 3D animated film made with the support of the Georgian National Film Centre.
The film tells the story of a toad called Gino and its neghbours, who, due to the construction works launched around the lake that used to be their habitat, are obliged to forget about contradictions and discrepancies between their views and to stand together to fight for the common goal and protect and maintain their habitat.
The Annecy International Animated Film Festival was established in 1960 and takes place annualy in the town of Annecy, France. It is considered to be one of the largest and most important animated film festivals in the world.
